Bistro & Patio Lighting FAQs

Bistro lighting is a style of overhead string lighting designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in outdoor spaces.

It is commonly used for patios, backyards, restaurants, event venues, pergolas, outdoor dining areas, and entertainment spaces. The lights create a soft glow that makes outdoor areas more comfortable and enjoyable after dark.

We install high quality commercial grade LED bistro lighting.

Our systems use 24 inch spacing between bulbs, which creates a fuller and more balanced lighting appearance compared to wider spaced lights often sold in stores.

We also use higher quality LED bulbs designed for outdoor use and long term reliability.

Yes.

We offer color changing bistro lighting systems that can be controlled through a mobile app. This allows you to adjust colors and lighting effects for holidays, parties, events, or everyday use.

Bistro lighting works well in a wide variety of outdoor spaces, including:

• Patios
• Decks
• Backyards
• Pergolas
• Outdoor kitchens
• Pool areas
• Restaurants and outdoor dining areas
• Event venues
• Wedding venues

It is a great way to make outdoor spaces feel more inviting and usable after dark.

Yes.

We install bistro and patio lighting for both residential and commercial properties.

This includes homes, restaurants, bars, breweries, event venues, wedding venues, and other outdoor gathering spaces.

Yes.

If there are no existing structures such as a home, pergola, or fence to mount the lights to, we can install dedicated poles designed specifically for bistro lighting.

This allows us to create beautiful overhead lighting even in open yard spaces.

Pricing depends on the length of the project and the layout of the lighting.

Most residential projects typically range from around $1,000 to several thousand dollars, depending on the total length of lights being installed and whether poles or additional mounting hardware are needed.

Commercial properties can often be well over $10,000, depending on the number of linear feet being installed and the size of the space being illuminated.

Each system is designed specifically for the property to create the best lighting layout possible.

Permanent Lighting FAQs

No, we do not install Govee lights.

Govee lights are typically designed for DIY homeowners looking for a lower cost option. While they can work for temporary setups, they are not built to the same standards as professional permanent lighting systems.

Govee lights are usually installed using adhesive directly on the home, which can fail if the surface is not perfectly prepared. Even when properly installed, the adhesive can eventually fail and often leaves sticky residue on the house.

They also produce a cone shaped light pattern that many homeowners find less aesthetically pleasing.

Our systems are different.

Our permanent lights feature:

Higher lumen LEDs
Closer spacing between lights for smoother lighting effects
Better waterproof ratings
Aluminum track that is color matched to your home
Professional installation

Our systems include a lifetime transferable warranty on the product and a one year labor warranty.

Permanent lighting is typically installed on or just behind the soffit of your home, shining downward.

Because the lights sit inside a color matched aluminum track, they blend in with the home and are barely noticeable during the day.

At night, they provide vibrant lighting effects for holidays, events, and everyday accent lighting.

Most permanent lighting installations are completed in less than one day, depending on the size of the home or property.

Larger homes or commercial projects may take longer, but most residential installations are completed the same day.

All of our permanent lighting systems are low voltage.

They use a transformer that plugs into a standard outlet to convert power safely.

If your home does not have an exterior outlet available, we partner with trusted electricians who can install one at a reasonable cost.

Landscape Lighting FAQs

All of our landscape lighting systems are low voltage.

Low voltage systems are safer, more energy efficient, and ideal for residential lighting. The system uses a transformer that plugs into a standard exterior outlet to convert power to 12 volts.

If your home does not currently have an exterior outlet, we partner with trusted electricians who can install one at a very reasonable cost.

We primarily install 12 volt integrated LED landscape lighting fixtures.

Our fixtures feature:

• Adjustable brightness
• Adjustable beam spreads
• High quality materials designed for long term outdoor use

Our integrated fixtures are fully serviceable, meaning if the LED ever goes bad, we can replace the light component without replacing the entire fixture.

This keeps maintenance simple and allows the system to last significantly longer.

The biggest difference is quality and longevity.

Many big box store lights are made with lower grade materials that tend to fail within one to three years. The housings can crack or split, and many integrated LED fixtures sold in stores are not serviceable, meaning the entire fixture must be replaced if the light stops working.

Our fixtures are made from solid virgin brass, which is designed to withstand outdoor conditions for many years.

Our systems include:

• Lifetime warranty on the brass housing
• 10 year warranty on the fixture
• Integrated LEDs that can last 10 to 20 years
• Fully serviceable fixtures if the light ever needs to be replaced

Most full systems range anywhere from a few thousand dollars to over $10,000, depending on the size of the property and how many areas you want illuminated.

Pricing is typically based on:

• Number of fixtures
• Size of the property
• Complexity of the design
• Areas being highlighted

Our fixtures are typically a little more expensive than some companies that do not primarily specialize in lighting. Many companies choose the cheapest fixtures and place them in the simplest locations to keep the price low.

We take a different approach.

We use higher quality fixtures and place them strategically to create the most impact, giving your home a cleaner, more dramatic nighttime appearance.

Our integrated LED systems are designed to last 10 to 20 years.

The brass fixtures themselves can last significantly longer, which is why they carry a lifetime warranty on the housing.

Because the LEDs are serviceable, the system can continue to perform for many years without needing full fixture replacements.

Yes.

Many homeowners start with lighting for the front of the home and later expand to include additional areas such as backyards, patios, pathways, or additional landscaping features.

Because the systems are modular, we can easily add fixtures in the future.

Landscape lighting can enhance both landscaping and architecture.

Common areas we highlight include:

• Houses and architectural features
• Dormers and rooflines
• Barns and detached structures
• Trees
• Landscaping beds
• Walkways and pathways
• Columns and entryways
• Patios and outdoor living spaces
• Driveways
• Water features

A professional lighting design focuses on highlighting the most important features of your property without over lighting the space.

Holiday & Christmas Lighting FAQs

No. We only install lighting that we provide.

Our system is designed around using our own commercial grade lighting products so we can ensure everything is safe, reliable, and professionally installed.

Because our team works with the same lighting systems on every project, installations are cleaner, more consistent, and easier to maintain throughout the season.

Yes.

Every installation includes a timer that can be custom set to turn your lights on and off at the times you prefer. Most clients choose to have their lights turn on around sunset and off later in the evening.

If you ever want the schedule adjusted, we can easily do that for you.

Our holiday and Christmas lighting service is designed to be completely hassle free.

Your price includes:

• Professional design
• Installation
• Maintenance during the season
• Removal after the holidays
• Off season storage of all materials

If anything stops working during the season, simply let us know and we will take care of it.

Holiday lighting is considered a leased service, which means sales tax is required by law.

We follow all current tax regulations. While we certainly do not enjoy paying taxes any more than anyone else, we also believe in operating our business the right way and staying compliant with the law.

If a company is not charging sales tax, they may not be following current tax requirements.

No. All lighting is leased, not sold.

This allows us to provide a complete experience where we handle everything for you. Because the lights remain part of our system, we are responsible for maintenance, repairs, removal, and storage.

You get the full holiday lighting experience without having to store or maintain anything yourself.

Holiday lighting is typically removed between January 2 and January 31.

If you need a specific takedown window due to travel plans or other circumstances, just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.

We use commercial grade lighting designed specifically for professional installations.

The lights arrive in large spools and are custom cut to fit your home perfectly. This eliminates excess wire and creates a much cleaner, more polished look than traditional store bought light strands.
